I LOVE this one! Frankly, I quit using Web Position Gold once I tried GR SEO software. That is not to say that Web Position Gold is bad, I just like this one better. And, the updates are lifetime, not a yearly license.

Web Position Gold

Web Position Gold is wildly popular among search engine optimisers, and with good reason. Except for eccentrics like myself, it is THE first choice for search engine optimizing. Web Position Gold 2 Professional is fantastic if you have to produce client reports or are under contract to monitor keyword positions for clients on a regular basis. GR SEO does NOT lend itself well to those functions. It is more for the webmaster optimizing his own domains.

WordTracker

If you are thinking of attempting to do search engine optimizing without using Wordtracker, I have only one thing to say: DON'T!!!

WordTracker is fantastic. I have had a subscription for over two years now. WordTracker gets a direct feed from two popular "meta search engine" and, using that feed, keeps track of almost 400 MILLION searches over a running 60 day period.

Without WordTracker, you're guessing. With WordTracker, you KNOW

Michael Campbell's "Revenge of the Mini-Net" is an awesome, eye opening little book. If you've ever wondered why some simple, basic little web sites rate so highly on the major search engines, you'll probably find your answer in this book. A MUST for any serious Search Engine Optimizer.

Other services include Alta Vista Paid Inclusion, AskJeeves/Teoma Paid Inclusion, and "SubmitPro", where they'll submit your site to "300 search engines" for $2.50. Might be worth it. <G> Oh, a word of advice, SubmitPro has been on sale for a LONG time, so don't be rushed. I DON'T recommend the SubmitOngoing, you could be accused of spamming the search engines.
